The Editor, Sir:We need to change the focus of our election campaign from the existing historical pattern that takes us nowhere. I would like to believe that it is not because we are going 'nowhere' or that our political leaders desire to take us 'nowhere'.

An awful way to die
The Editor, Sir: I am haunted by Sunday's [July 15] 'Letter of the Day'. I am absolutely appalled to think that anybody, let alone such a wonderful human being as described in that letter, Shaun Fletcher, could die because he did not have $500 to pay the hospital fees!
