Jetsetters 'B' set to win
published: Thursday | December 21, 2006

Kwesi Mugisa, Staff Reporter

Jetsetters B will be looking to keep their lead atop Group 3 of the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Jamaica National (JN) Open League intact when they take on last-placed Ravens 'C' at 5:45 p.m. today at the Leila Robinson Courts.

In a tightly-contested group, Jetsetters, who will host their game on court two, are out in front with 12 points. However, Skibo 'B' who will play Tivoli 'B' at the same time on court one are hot on their heels with nine points and could find themselves sharing the top spot with a win today and a loss for the group leaders.

Tivoli B will also be in the hunt as they are currently in fourth place, also on nine points.

Jamaica Fire Brigade, who are sixth in the group, will also be hoping to make their way up the table, to at least leapfrog a Maverly team one spot above them when they host the latter at 5:45 p.m. on court three.

Alexander Strikers, second in Group Eight with 12 points, can join group leaders Tivoli 'A' on 15 with a win over fifth-placed Progressive Strikers, whom they will play on court four, also at 5:45 p.m. Tivoli A will have the day off following the expulsion of Omega 'B' from the competition.

Third place Ebony Strikers 'B' will also be hoping to make up ground on the group leaders when they take on fifth-place Torrington Park in a 6:40 p.m. encounter on court one.

In action from Group Five, fifth-place Molynes United 'B' will play sixth-place Up Park Camp at 6:40 p.m. on court three, while over on court four, first place Arnett Gardens will take on fourth-place Waulgrovians 'B'.
