Peace Day Messages - Jamaicans should support Peace Day activities
Community and group conflicts among young people have been identified as the source of violent outbursts in Jamaica, and studies have proven that the levels of violence continue to retard the social and economic advancement of the country....

Today, as we join with PALS Jamaica in commemorating Peace Day, we are jolted into facing the sad and stark reality of the escalating crime and violence that besiege our nation's schools; and, therefore, the relevance and importance of such a day as this.

PALS must be commended

The most cherished hope for many Jamaicans at this time is for peace in our land. Violence is costing us dearly in lives, productivity and peace of mind. Such losses stand in the way of national prosperity. There cannot be sustainable development without peace...
