Angels in final
It will be an Angels' affair in tomorrow's final of the St James Goodwill Open League netball competition as both Angels 'A' and Angels 'B' scored contrasting victories over St James Development Squad and Lime 'A', respectively.
In the first semi-final game last Sunday, Angels 'B' crushed Lime 'A' 33-17. National U-21 representative, Shaye Walton, scored 25 goals from 34 attempts and she got good support from Shagail Green's eight from 13. Iobe Green 14 and Gina Haughton, three, scored for the losers.
In the second game of the day, Angels 'A' carved out a thrilling 18-17 victory over a very youthful St James Squad. Dubbed as the finals of the competition, the game was fast, very competitive and very attractive. Angels 'A' took the first quarter 5-4, but St James rallied to edge them 5-4 in the second. Angels 'A' won the game from the third quarter when they registered the biggest lead of the game (7-4). The St James Squad came back well to take the fourth quarter but it wasn't enough to stave off the defending champions.
The finals will be at Montego Bay Cricket Club, starting at 4:30 p.m.

Wilmot tops surfing
Inilek Wilmot won the final event, the fifth in the National Open Surf Series, held at Long Bay in Portland last Saturday.
Seventeen of the island's top surfers turned out for the event, which saw six heats run to narrow the field to the top six competitors. The north coast surfers had a big advantage at the popular Portland surfing beach and a number of junior surfers stood out in the smaller, less powerful waves.
Surfers were under the watchful eyes of the judges as 15-minute heats were run for the surfers to demonstrate their talents, and when the field had been narrowed the top six were Inilek Wilmot, Ackeem Taylor, Icah Wilmot, Ackeam Phillips, Michael Panton and Garren Pryce.
The surfers paddled out in the bright, sunny conditions for the 20-minute final. The exchanges had the judges working hard to come up with the top surfer as they executed bottom turns, off-the-tops, cutbacks and aerials.
