An exhilarating encounter is expected when leaders Cavalier travel to second-place Rae Town in today's feature match in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Claro Super League at Breezy Castle, starting at 3:00 p.m.

Cavalier sit atop the standings on 13 points, just a point ahead of Rae Town. The latter is, however, yet to be beaten in six games, but have drawn three of their last four games. The two teams boast the best defensive and offensive records coming into the 17th round of matches, with Rae Town having scored 14 goals while conceding only two. Cavalier, on the other hand, have suffered only one defeat to Santos and have scored 12 goals while conceding three.

Both teams are coming off draws, as Cavalier played to a 0-0 draw with Constant Spring and Rae Town required an 80th-minute goal from the league's leading goal-scorer, Damion Jackson, to earn a 1-1 draw with Duhaney Park.

we just need to win

Cavalier's coach, David Lalor, says they do not take into consideration who their opponents are, they just go out to win.

"We are just going for a win, we do not take into consideration who the opponents are; Cavalier just need to win," Lalor said. "The team has a lot of confidence, I am confident that Cavalier is a Premier League team that is playing Super League just waiting to come out," he added.

Meanwhile, Michael Francis, coach of Rae Town, is hoping that his team will rise to the occasion.

"I just hope the players will bring their 'A' game and rise to the occasion," Francis said. "It is going to be a very tactical game, I know they (Cavalier) might be cautious, seeing they are playing away from home, but it will be a tight game as it is two teams who are playing quality football at this level," he added.

The round's other games will see bottom-place Meadhaven (1 point) seeking their first win when they entertain ninth-place Bull Bay (5 points). The other two unbeaten teams, Constant Spring (12 points), and Mountain View (10 points) will welcome sixth-place Barbican (10 points) and 10th-place Duhaney Park (5 points), respec-tively. Seventh-place Santos (10 points) will travel to eighth-place Real Mona (5 points), while fourth-place Jamaica Defence Force (11 points) will go in search of their third consecutive victory when they journey to 11th-place Maverley/Hughenden (3 points).
