A fund is in the pipeline to enhance production values and form in local media, that according to the Broadcasting Commission of Jamaica have tended to deteriorate.

Speaking at a Lions Club luncheon at the Pegasus hotel on Wednesday, chairman of the Broadcasting Commission Hopeton Dunn said the Broadcasting Commission of Jamaica had agreed on a Public Broadcasting Production fund.

"We want to put the resource in the fund to assist in production of documentaries, programmes in radio, television and in a whole range of other ways in order to set a standard of the kind of production that we can get in Jamaica," he said.

Alluding to radio drama, the chairman said persons are yet to hear interesting documentaries.

He said the fund was a catalyst for production, as the commission would provide interes-ted persons, upon applying, with the necessary resources to do production in the various media houses.
