Don't panic, Jamaica will be ok

The Editor, Sir:

The resignations of the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) Governor Derick Latibeaudiere and the Police Commissioner Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin are not something for the nation to panic over. The economy is doing well under the Bruce Golding administration. Many are criticising why these sudden resignations come when the economy is going through a challenging time because of the global crisis, and a time when negotiations with the International Monetary Fund are taking place.

Injustice

The Government is working hard to take the country out of the problem that it is facing now, and I know that with the help of God Jamaica will get there one day.

Criticising the Government on how it is handling the country is doing more injustice to the economy and no good. The opposition needs to take a look at the country and where we are at this time, and work with the Government to build a bright further for Jamaica.Prime Minister Bruce Golding has competent ministers in his Cabinet, and that is the reason the country is in a good position and doing well. I am calling on, not only the churches, but the wider society to pray for the Government at this time.

I am, etc.,
