A Yes indeed, chivalry is alive! Whether male or female, you must hold the door you have just passed through for the person behind you, and especially so for women.
Q Do you send a thank you note for a thank you gift?
A No, this is not necessary; you will be jumping on the thank you merry go 'round.
Q What does one do at a cocktail party?
A Mingle and start conversations. Whether you are the hostess or a guest, the people, not the food or drink, should be your main focus. Make eye contact and offer a warm smile, this puts people at ease.
