Kevin Alexander, assistant coach of Urban Knights, said they are expecting tough game from Arnett Gardens Rockers when they meet in today's feature of the Flow National Basketball League (NBL) at the National Stadium, starting at 8 p.m.

In the opening game at 6:15 p.m., last year's beaten finalists Port Royal Bulls will oppose Portmore Flames.

"This is going to be a key game for us but I think that we are prepared for it and I am confident we will come out on top," said Alexander.

The Knights are seeking their fourth win from five matches this season.

Their only defeat came against the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF).

"I am expecting a tough game from them because they are a hard-running team and they are also a very physical side," Alexander said.

The Knights will be depending heavily of the likes of guards Javon Bailey, André Murray, forward Oneil Mundle and Fabian Thompson.

Poor start for rockers

The Rockers have had a poor start to the season, winning one game in four outings.

Their lone victory was against the JDF, in their last game. The Rohan Allen-coached Rockers will rest their hopes in the hands of captain and point guard, King Thompson, forward Vivian Spence and centre Eton Wint.

Meanwhile, in games played on Sunday, the JDF and Majesty Gardens recorded victories.

The men from the army beat the Wizards 70-57, handing the West Kingston team their first loss of the season. Raymond Francis was the leading scorer for the JDF with a game-high 22 points. Anthony Farquharson led the Wizards with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Majesty Gardens beat Portmore Flames 76-53. Maurice Blackwood led Majesty with a team-high 16 points and seven rebounds. Kenardo Smith was the top scorer for the Flames with a game-high 18 points.
