Clarke

BARBICAN FC

Last season's position: Promoted - finished second in Major League

Players to watch: Donald Young, Adrian Dixon, Dasean Meek, Jermaine Parris, Donovan Walker.

Preseason preparation: Played nine games - won five, lost two, draw two.

Coach says: (Ian Broderick - manager): This year we are preparing to play Super League and remain in the league and if possible challenge for promotion to the National Premier League, which is our long-term goal. But the short term is to remain in the league.

BULL BAY FC

Coach: Owen Wright (new)

Last season's position: Fifth

Titles: None

Players to watch: Jermaine Gardener, Orette Thompson.

Preseason preparation: Played two - win two.

Coach says: "We have a very good chance to win the competition. The team is very good and once we finish well, everything should be good.

CAVALIERS FC

Coach: David Lalor

Last season's position: Second

Titles: None

Players to watch: Loxley Thompson, David Lalor, Richard Hoo, Everdeen Scarlet.

Preseason preparation: Played two - win one, draw one.

Coach says: I believe this is the best I have seen Cavalier since their drop from the premier league. Its a real proper bunch of quality players, and we we expect to again do very well.

CONSTANT SPRING FC


Waite

Coach: Jerome Waite (new)

Last season's position: Sixth

Titles: None

Players to watch: Marlon Edwards, Craig White, Denzil Mitchell, Nerado Prawl.

Preseason preparation: Played seven matches, win five, one draw, one loss.

Coach says: I think we have an excellent bunch of players. But with football you have to execute on the day and if we do that and take our chances we could be back in the premier league.

DUHANEY PARK FC

Coach: Linval Hyatt (new)

Last season's position: Ninth

Titles: None

Players to watch: Earl Roberts Jr, Anthony Britton, Renaldo Lee.

Preseason preparation: Played four matches - won four.

Coach says: We are trying to be one of the most disciplined teams in the competition and once we get that we will achieve a lot things, and get good results.

JAMAICA DEFENCE FORCE

Players to watch: Alien Whittaker, Gavaski Walker, Terrence Jarrett, Robert Wright, Garvey Simms.

Preseason preparation: Played three matches - won one, drew one and lost the other.

Coach says: I think the approach to the season will be different from the past three to four seasons. We have an internal league over the past two seasons and have been getting a new influx of players and I expect us to give a very good account of ourselves.

MAVERLEY/HUGHENDEN FC

Coach: Michael Tulloch (new) -

Last season's position: Eighth

Players to watch: Leon Patrick, Kirk Wallace, Steve Wedderburn

Preseason preparation: Played three matches.

Coach says: (Keith White - president): I think we will be off to a slow start but we should do well. We are appreciative of Claro's sponsorship which is going directly to the clubs and this will help us to operate more efficiently.

MEADHAVEN UNITED FC

Coach: Lijyaso Simms

Last season's position: Demoted from Digicel Premier League

Titles: One (2007/08)

Players to watch: David Reid, Tafari Fairley, Omari Edwards

Coach says: This season is a season where we will be rebuilding and we looking forward to the competition. We are going out there to perform to the best of our ability. Our main goal is to get back to the Premier League

REAL MONA FC


Moses

Coach: Peter Moses

Players to watch: Mahaish Alexander, Akeeli Martin, Nevon Brown.

Preseason preparation: Played four matches - won two, draw two

Coach says: Last year was a good introduction to the Super League, and I think the players understand the difference between playing in the Major League and Super League, and I am expecting us to seriously challenge for the title.

RAE TOWN FC

Coach: Everald Campbell

Last season's position: Promoted - won Major League

Titles: None

Players to watch: Steven Squire, Mario McDonald, Mark Williams.

Preseason preparation: Played four - lost four.

Coach says: (Lloyd Bryan - manager): Our first objective is to stay in the competition. It's big step above the normal level, be competitive and if possible win the competition.

MOUNTAIN VIEW FC

Coach: Omar Stanley

Last season's position: 10th

Titles: None

Players to watch: Troyland Williams, Keneel Flowers, Ryan Douglas, Andrew Sewell.

Preseason preparation: Played seven matches - won three, lost three and draw one.

Coach says: Our aim to improve and finish in at least the top six. We want to try and prevent what happened to us last season and to achieve this, we have changed players and management.

SANTOS FC
