Celebrate Jamaica

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I AM in total agreement with the letter concerning the new Miss Jamaica, being so light or white most of the time.
It seems to me that we have not evolved from mental slavery. I will even take it little further, I have also noticed that all the news anchor persons on Caribbean International Network all have British accents. What's up with that?
What is wrong with our natural Jamaican accent.? Why do we always celebrate someone else's culture when we have such a unique and colourful culture. I just don't get it.
