Don't be suckered by Venezuela

I think we have a crisis on our hands with both the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Hugo Chávez, I don't believe he is as good a Samaritan as the Government of Jamaica thinks.
Jamaica and other Caribbean countries will eventually be placed between a rock and a hard place where dealing with this man is concerned.
These smaller countries will now notice that with funds now expected from the IMF, Chávez will be raising the requirements for the oil received. These countries, I believe, also will be asked to take sides whenever a United States-South American conflict arises.
I am calling on the people of Jamaica to seek ways of becoming more independent and do not allow anybody, US, European Union or Venezuela, to hold our economy at ransom.
I am, etc.,
Christopher
