On the heels of the success of his new show, Pomedy, Yasus Afari, the 1993 Dub Poet of the Year, is back with a 22-track poetic masterpiece titled Kiss Mi Neck.

Kiss Mi Neck will be launched tomorrow at the Ashanti Oasis Vegetarian Restaurant, Hope Gardens, at 6 p.m.

Kiss Mi Neck was recorded at the legendary Tuff Gong Recording Studio and includes such tracks as Blouse and Skirt, Complex, Pick Pocket, The Girl I Love and the title song, Kiss Mi Neck. The album themes range from male and female relationships to social commentary.

Instruments

Kiss Mi Neck is being considered as the first of its kind in dub poetry for Yasus Afari. On his previous albums, he blended his poetry with music. This time, Yasus Afari is relying on the music in the poetry, as the only instruments will be voices.

A press release from Flava Island Products said: "Kiss Mi Neck has been generating interest online where Yasus has growing presence as well as internationally, with several companies showing great interest.

"Another exceptional area of the album is its cover design, which can be considered a work of art."
