NOTE-WORTHY What a circus!

This would mean that Jamaica never had a legal parliament. All laws enacted by our illegal parliaments would be null and void. And, of course, all contracts signed by our illegal parliaments would also be invalid.

Better judgement needed
While I totally agree with all the points raised in A. Fitz Henley's Letter of the Day (July 31) 'The hypocrisy of dual citizenship', he based his arguments on the issue as it relates to his cousin, PNP MP Sharon Hay-Webster. His comments should've been directed to the PNP, the same party his cousin, Hay-Webster, represents. The PNP were the ones flagging this dual citizenship issue by taking JLP MPs to court, hoping to regain power mischievously by forcing a premature election!
Had better judgement prevailed on the part of the PNPs leadership, the JLP would've somehow resolved these issues with the PNP.
Shortly after the JLP won marginally at the polls, the PNP leader warned them that she/they will be the Government's worst nightmare. Sadly, this is all coming to pass, meanwhile too much time and valuable taxpayers money have been wasted already on this particular issue. Sensibility and practicality should've prevailed.

Clean up Hellshire
I am a resident of the United States, but after a recent visit to the island, I fell in love with my home again. I spent a day at the beach in St Elizabeth and was highly delighted. Two carloads of family and friends were very impressed with the beach.
I agree, however, with the writer about the Hellshire Beach. It is a disgrace - fish guts and other material are all over the beach. Even though we incurred a cost to utilise the beach in St Elizabeth, I loved it. It was clean and well managed. I didn't want to leave. We missed the food that is available at Hellshire. Hellshire would undoubtedly be a great investment. I have many family members residing in St Catherine and Kingston and they travel elsewhere to enjoy the beach. What a way to boost the economy and provide jobs for the locals.
Take a leaf from the book of whoever overhauled Fonthill Beach in St Elizabeth.
