MAY PEN, CLARENDON: The winner of the 2009 JAG Smith scholarship for top performance among girls in primary schools Zhara-Marie Henry has urged her fellow students to take responsibility for their own learning.

Zhara-Marie was guest speaker at the annual GSAT Day celebrations organised by Jamalco last Friday.

The celebrations were organised for children of its employees who will make the transition to high school in September 2009.

Her message to parents at the function was "help us to study and remind us often that you love us". Zhara-Marie attended the Mineral Heights Primary School and will attend Glenmuir High in September.

Just over 40 children of Jamalco team members visited the bauxite/alumina refinery, attended a luncheon and received gifts from Jamalco at the annual GSAT Day celebrations.
