Shelly-Ann Fraser shot to stardom last year when she beat the world's best in the 100 metres in the Chinese capital. Her rise to the top has been swift. She began 2008 with a best time of 11.31 seconds and lowered that to 10.78 for her Beijing triumph. The Berlin World Championships in Athletics will be her second. She ran the anchor leg in the semi-finals of the 4x100m in Osaka two years ago.
