Osmosis fashion tips

The most basic ensemble can become a fashion statement by adding the right accessories. A feathered fascinator, or a pair of thick-rimmed glasses, when added to a suitable outfit, can amplify your appearance stylistically. However, the most impressive accessory isn't sold at Shimmer or Extras. When heading to Osmosis, turn up with your 'swagger'; without it, you'll hardly make a statement.

Craig 'Leftside' Parks and Amanda Orrett appreciate the style value of accessorising, and shared their favourite tips tricks and accessories no-nos to help with your Osmosis preparation.

Orrett:

Accessory essentials

"Big earrings accentuate almost any outfit. I like metallic ones, especially the big doorknocker type of earrings."

No-nos

"It looks silly to wear a thick wool scarf in the middle of the day when the sun is blazing."

Tips and tricks

"I don't really like the empire waist tops because they are not figure flattering. But if you cinch the waistline with a trendy belt, you can appear more shapely in those tops."

Parks:

Accessory essentials

"If I could choose just one accessory it would be a belt, like an Energie belt or Ed Hardy. Nothing too regular, but a standout fashion belt."

No-nos

"I wouldn't carry a 'man bag', it looks too feminine to me. I don't care how good people claim it looks, that's one look I'm not going to adopt."
