Pilot pleased with outcome

The CNN website described how "the suspect's father and Golding, who flew in by helicopter, were among those who negotiated with the gunman before his capture yesterday morning. The country's minister of national security also was at hand".
Understandably, Canadian media coverage has been the most anxious but even this has tended to praise the Jamaican response. While the Ottawa Citizen newspaper quotes Canjet pilot Tracey Hyndman as saying, "It's absolutely shocking that somebody would have made it through security with a weapon," it continues that she was "incredibly pleased at the way the situation turned out".
