Spanish Town cop takes God to court

Constable Troy Grant of the Spanish Town Police Station is also a man of God and even takes his worship to the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court where he is assigned.
On Mondays, the dimunitive Grant uses his powerful voice to woo litigants towards God in songs of praise at the courthouse.
''With God all things are possible and the service is to give hope to those who turn out and sometimes feel it is the end. As a result, they look forward to each Monday's worship,'' said Grant.
The St Ann-born cop said the Christian faith allows him to have a positive view of situations and fuels his mission to touch the lives of many. A policeman for more than five years, Grant is a member of the Power of Faith Ministries church in Portmore, St Catherine.
"He is a very special policeman. He gives another side to the police force," said Marvia (who withheld her surname), a worshipper at the church. "Persons like myself didn't know that you have police who pray.''
