WESTERN BUREAU:
Lovely models and glitzy couture glammed up the Cornwall Room as the Half Moon hotel was transformed into a catwalk of the world when Designed Fashion Showcase 2008 swung into Montego Bay last Saturday.
Some of the world's leading designers, including Apple Bottoms, Ande Saw, FENDI, Etro, Zang Toi, Catherine Malandrino, Angel Sanchez, and Ralph Lauren, dazzled the audience at the Ocean Style Magazine/ Kerrymanwomanhome event. Other highlights were Alberta Ferretti, Calklein, Jean Paul Gaultier, Roberto Cavalli, Tricia Fix, Rosa Cha and SIIM.
Melting pot
It was also a melting pot of Pulse and Saint models, as well as independents. Designer Sasanah Andesew summed it up well: "It was a unique experience with all the models on one show, it worked to everybody's best interest."
Lending to the sophistication was the tonload of celebrities who turned out for the must-attend fashion fiesta. Among them were Anthony Anderson, Bryce Wilson, Lauren London, Malika Haqq, Tyson Beckford, Elise Neal, Robin Thede, Tanya Stephens, Freddie Leiba, Constance White, Michelle Stone, Tricia Fix and Dionysee Fitzwilliams.
