Jamaica Gleaner Letters
published: Sunday | November 11, 2007

Relationships, trust, and politics
The Editor, Sir: Trust is 'a firm belief in the reliability or truth or strength, etc., of a person or thing.' It is unfortunate that the words 'reliability', ''truth' or 'strength', are not words that one can readily associate with political parties.

Multicultural approach to education

The Editor, Sir: Pandemonium seemingly reigned throughout the education sector recently when a particular textbook found its way into the Jamaican school system.

Yes, teachers owe students more: Re: Esther Tyson's article on Sunday November 4, 2007.

The Editor, Sir: Despite her being a 'teacher', I had always held Esther Tyson in the same high regard as I had for women such as Yvonne McCalla Sobers, Dr. Carolyn Gomes, etc.

How to solve crime

The Editor, Sir: Crime is a big problem we face in the country at this time.
