LETTER OF THE DAY - Marriage is not just 'a piece of cake'
The Editor, Sir: If we follow the international news carefully, we will see the huge sums been paid out to ex-wives as settlement for break-ups.

Some MPs are really 'Missing Persons'

The Editor, Sir: The voting trend of past elections indicates that there is usually a lower voter turnout for local government elections when compared to general elections.

Recognising Elaine Davis

The Editor, Sir: Today instead of highlighting the negative actions of the youths of our nation, I would like to turn the spotlight on a wonderful young woman, Elaine Davis, who hails from a little rural district, Howells Content, York Town, Clarendon.

Use solar power and save money

The Editor, Sir: I recently watched a programme aired on a local tv station in Washington, DC, which was about the use of solar power and other renewable energy as a means of limiting our dependence on fossil fuels.

It was extremely gripping information.

Thank you, Dr Paul Ramphal

The Editor, Sir: On Friday June 29, the Cardiology Team and I bade farewell to cardiothoracic surgeon par excellence Dr. Paul Ramphal at the Cardiology Unit of the University Hospital of the West Indies.

Questionable occurrence

The Editor, Sir: My auditory agents today are straying more closely to the precincts of validity than they did in yesteryear. This is why I question an occurrence in their magisterial counting in Eastern Hanover.
