Jamaica Gleaner Letters
published: Saturday | May 19, 2007

LETTER OF THE DAY: The foundation of judicial independence
The Editor, Sir:Congratulations on yesterday's editorial with whose contents I find myself in total agreement.

Imposters and amateurs

The Editor, Sir:I believe that Jamaica is a gold mine of opportunities just waiting to be explored.

Control unruly Jamaicans

The Editor, Sir:I am deeply disturbed about indiscipline in the society in present times.

Wrong focus

The Editor, Sir:It is unfortunate that in 2007, we are getting caught up with people's personalities, trivial words being thrown about, and flags and graffiti, in the run-up to a very critical general election.

Poll games not good

The Editor, Sir:Elections form a critical plank of any true democracy. We the people are charged with an important responsibility.

Real fathers needed

The Editor, Sir:Sir, the month being Child Month, should make it appropriate that men who become fathers are real and not fathers by the whims and fancy of desperate mothers.
