THE EDITOR, Sir:Sir, the month being Child Month, should make it appropriate that men who become fathers are real and not fathers by the whims and fancy of desperate mothers.
It is important that men father their children's every needs, and as such the state, which has a vested interest to promote values and attitudes, should make this possible by insisting that before every child is born, notonly the name of every father is known, but their DNA., which could be matched with that of the child.
Of interest is the fact that a father will have to prove that the child or children he wishes to migrate with him to the U.S.A is his by DNA and not by a birth certificate.
The saving in money and time by our court and justice system would be far-reaching, our social behaviour between man, woman and known child would have far-reaching effects on the social culture of this land.
I am, etc.,
