Stop this madness

THE EDITOR, Sir: I was disappointed in Dr. Omar Davies's defence of his relationship with those two infamous "area leaders" for the following reasons...

Intellectual arrogance
THE EDITOR, Sir: I felt very sad after reading Melville Cooke's article - "Myths, miracles, mumbo-jumbo and morality" - as published on Page 9A of The Sunday Gleaner, June 3, 2001.

Bold honesty
THE EDITOR, Sir: A day later, I'm still somewhat breathless from reading Melville Cooke's exquisite heresy, "Myths, miracles, mumbo-jumbo and morality," published June 3. What writing!

Definition of worker
THE EDITOR, Sir: My definition of a worker: is an individual who is compensated for his/her services.

What about St. Thomas?
THE EDITOR, Sir: There are places in St. Thomas that don't even have a public telephone. If there is an emergency, the members of the community have to take care of it themselves or travel as far as five miles to the closest phone.
