Gunman slain in robbery attempt

ONE OF four gunmen who went on a robbery spree in the Corporate Area yesterday, using a stolen motor vehicle, was reportedly accidentally killed by one of his own cronies, during a shoot-out with the police in White Marl, St. Catherine.

THE PARISH of St. Catherine is experiencing a sharp increase in the number of carnal abuse and rape cases.

Library membership soars
SCORES OF persons are signing up with the Greater Portmore Branch Library. In an interview, Miss Shernette Bennett, librarian at the branch, said that they have approved over a 1,000 membership cards and have 525 transfers pending.
