Congrats are in order and the peals you're hearing in the distance are of the wedding bells that will ring louder later this year when the absolutely gorgeous Carol Pessoa, owner of the Guess franchise here in Jamaica, exchanges marital vows with her long-time beau, financial commentator Keith Collister. The lovebirds have finally decided to make it official.

No definite date yet but the buzz is it will definitely be an '09 wedding!

Speaking of fabulous people, places and things, from June 11-16, it will be all about the ultra-fab Round Hill Hotel and Villas, in fabulous Hanover, as the resort hosts the first of what it hopes to make an annual event, the Round Hill Hotel and Villas annual art workshop.

For its inaugural workshop, the artist in residence will be the internationally acclaimed poet and adventurer, Wayne Moore, known and celebrated in the art world for his breathtaking acrylics, watercolours and oils. His career has spanned 50 years of commissions and have seen him emerge as the leading artist for major sporting events. What better respite could the doctor have ordered than the perfect retreat for a week at the fab resort.

Speaking of fine art and great artists, after an absence of nearly 30 years from the national art scene, restricting herself only to commissions, the acclaimed Susan Alexander is all set to mount her first exhibition later this year! Wait for it, as it promises to be not only a fabulous return for one of the nation's premier artists, but also an inspirational outing as well. More definitely anon!

After a break period, Evita's Latin-Caribbean Saturday night parties have returned to Ocho Rios' leading pasta restaurant and swinging hot spot! Under the theme 'Tropicana Party', the event, which was suspended a few months ago, resumed last Saturday night by popular demand to a packed house and is set to continue every Saturday night!
