Tropical Wave in the vicinity of Jamaica

An area of low pressure west of Jamaica continues to produce unstable weather over the western Caribbean and Jamaica as well as sections of Cuba. The area of low pressure is drifting westward through the forecast period and is likely to be replaced by a high pressure ridge later this week.

24-HOUR FORECAST

Tonight: Showers are expected over western parishes and southeastern parishes of Jamaica.

Tomorrow Morning: Expect mostly cloudy with isolated showers over northern and southeastern parishes.

Tomorrow Afternoon: Expect scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over central and western parishes and inland areas of eastern parishes.

Minimum temperature expected for Kingston tonight: 26 degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperature expected for Montego Bay tonight: 26 degrees Celsius.

3-DAY FORECAST (starting tomorrow):

On Thursday expect apartly cloudy morning followed by scattered afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms over central and western parishes and inland areas of eastern parishes.

On Friday expect a generally fair morning followed by Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms over inland areas and western parishes.

On Saturday expect morning showers over northeastern parishes. This will be followed by scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms over central and western parishes and inland areas of eastern parishes.
