A Trough across Jamaica; Dorian along Florida's east coast

The Trough is expected to remain across the island over the next few days. Hurricane Dorian at 4:00 a.m. was approximately 145 km east of Daytona Beach, Florida. Tropical Storm Fernand was approximately 150 km northeast of Tampico, Mexico. A newly formed Tropical storm , Garielle, was approximately 1090 km west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.

There is a tropical wave along the coast of Africa is forecast to emerge over the eastern Atlantic later today. Environmental conditions appear to be conducive for some slow development late this week, and this system has the potential to become a tropical depression over the weekend or early next week while it moves westward across the tropical Atlantic Ocean.
