Trough across Jamaica and the central Caribbean

Hurricane Dorian has induced a trough across Jamaica. This trough weakens early on Friday, thereafter, a high pressure ridge will build across the island and linger into the weekend.

Hurricane Dorian, currently across the Atlantic waters is expected to move east of the southeastern and central Bahamas today into Friday
wind maximum sustained near 140 km/h, with higher gusts. Dorian is expected to become a Major Hurricane on Friday.

Hurricane Dorian is not a threat to Jamaica.
