LETTER - JTS and Swift Cash

THE EDITOR, Sir:
Regarding the article 'Remittance companies jockey for holiday inflows' in the Financial Gleaner, December 11, 2009, our brand manager Tanya Officer received a couple of telephone calls at inconvenient times and it was unfortunate that it was reported that she had declined to speak.
JTS Remittance Company Limited is the main agent in Jamaica for the brand Swift Cash Money Transfer, owned and operated by Swift Cash Limited, registered in the United Kingdom.
Additionally, the website under construction is the property of Swift Cash Limited, hence the UK telephone number which was reported as not a recognisable Jamaican number.
