Santos are now sole leaders of the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Claro Super League after blanking the previously unbeaten Rae Town 3-0 at Breezy Castle, in their 11th round match on Saturday.

The first half ended 0-0 but that only set the stage for the league's leading goal scorer Fabian Nethersole. The Santos captain scored his first goal two minutes into the second half, followed by his 10th and 11th goals of the season in the 80th and 89th minutes, respectively, to complete his hat-trick. Santos were registering their second consecutive 3-0 league victory.

Rae Town dropped to third in the standings as Cavalier moved into second after clipping Barbican 1-0 in the first of two games played at the Spring Complex.

Leading scorer

Cavalier's leading scorer, Locksley Thompson, moved his tally to six, when he scored on the stroke of half-time.

The second game, between Constant Spring and Maverley/ Hughenden, ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Mountain View were involved in their seventh draw of the season, as they shared four goals with the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF). Mountain View's goals came by way of an eight-minute strike from Ricardo Reid and a 76th-minute own goal by Donnell Fairweather. The army men marched away with a point, courtesy of goals from Robert Wright and goalkeeper Allien Whittaker, in the 51st and 90th minutes, respectively.

Gaining points

Duhaney Park came from behind twice at home to earn a share of the points in a 2-2 draw with Bull Bay. Bevill Grossett and Orrett Thompson scored Bull Bay's goals in the 21st and 39th minutes, respectively, while Duhaney Park responded through goals from Derrick Wilson and Omar Williams in the 29th and 66th minutes.

Meadhaven and Real Mona played to a 1-1 draw. Sheldon Minott's 20th minute strike gave Real Mona the lead, but David Reid's 69th minute strike gave the home team a share of the points.

In the second-tier Claro Major League competition, University of the West Indies (UWI) maintained their position atop the standings, after clipping Cooreville Gardens 1-0. Aaron Spence scored the game's lone goal in the 90th minute to give his team the away win.

Molynes United squeezed past Swallowfield 1-0, courtesy of a 58th minute strike by Horace Anderson, while third-place Police Nationals played to a 0-0 stalemate with eighth-place Brown's Town.
