Gleaner wins seven !

The Gleaner took home seven awards in various categories from the annual Press Association of Jamaica National Journalism Awards Ceremony, held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, New Kingston, Friday night.

The Gleaner newspaper copped the lion's share of the awards as the curtains came down on Journalism Week Friday night. The Gleaner won seven of the 14 awards presented at the awards ceremony, staged by the 66-year-old Press Association of Jamaica.

    The PAJ has said it will name a Journalist of the Year early in 2010.
