Claro Jamaica on Friday announced a new calling rate that it said would apply to any network.

The new one-rate pre-paid plan bills calls at $9.99 per minute and applies whether subscribers are calling on-network or cross-net to the handsets of competitors, including LIME Jamaica and Digicel.

The plan provides two options: pre-paid 'basic' or pre-paid 'anywhere' plans, but the company release, issued through its publicists quoting unnamed company officials, did not specify the difference.
