The Church, in partnership with the international children's advocacy organisation, Compassion International, will host an international conference on 'Children at Risk' at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston next Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, the topic for discussion will be 'Children at Risk - A Global Perspective' and on Wednesday, the theme will be 'Children at Risk - A Caribbean and Jamaican Perspective'.

The public launch of the two-day conference is set for Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at Hope Fellowship Church in Kingston, with guest speaker Dr Wess Stafford, president of Compassion International.

The conference is being held in the context of more than 100 children reportedly disappearing each month and some 56 children being murdered in the first 14 days of September. While some of these have been found, most are reportedly still missing.
