Margaritaville, Montego Bay:

Tricia Robbins is director of sales, marketing and promotions for Island Entertainment brand, owners of four of the restaurants participating in the November 7-14 calendar event. They are: Margaritaville Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, Bobsled Café and Marguerites Seafood by the Sea.

She said so far bookings from locals who would not normally dine there are up, but most surprising are the number of corporate groups that have booked.

"Compared to other years, there would be just a few local bookings and overseas guests at this time but, with the upswing in media exposure, I am excited. I am getting requests for menus, so I am inviting the undecided to call us because we still have space," Robbins said.

Strawberry Hill, St Andrew:

Nicholas Lynch, general manager of Strawberry Hill, said he's quite excited. "We will be giving guests an experience that they have not had before. There will be some surprises but the best way to see it is to come up and experience it," he said.

He said Strawberry Hill is thrilled with the level of attention from The Gleaner and bookings so far are showing completely full for the first two nights.

"This year it's all about our famous service, so seating is limited to 60 persons."

Over previous years, Lynch said the price point was a little higher but the value for money is phenomenal. Guests are reminded there will be security monitoring the parking and, because the seating is limited to 60 guests, they will be able to handle everyone.

All systems are go and Strawberry Hill cannot wait to wait on customers!
