Just like mustard vs ketchup on a hotdog, or a scary movie vs a comedy in the theatre, in the world of technology everyone has their own favourite gadget that perfectly suits their style, needs and wants. With so many tech devices on the market, and with the increased resource availability the Internet provides, how is a consumer to choose what gizmo is right for them? Techno Tease asks an avid gadget-lover, what keeps you connected?

What's your favourite gadget?

Of course, my BlackBerry Curve 8320.

When did you get it and where?

I've gone through three [laughs] but my latest one I got back in April from a friend in the States.

What makes it your favourite gadget?

I can talk to people around the world 24 hours a day via BB messenger (BlackBerry Messenger).

How many people do you have on your BlackBerry Messenger?

I had around 105 people but I had to cut that list way down to about 65. I just realised I wasn't talking to a bunch of people and if they ever need me they can just call. Plus, I no longer wanted so many people to be able to reach me 24/7.

What are its special features?

Once you have a BlackBerry and you have Internet access, you can use BB, which is kind of like MSN Messenger but just on a phone which makes it ultra convenient. Also, you can browse the Internet anytime. I like it because it has all the features a laptop would have so it's like a mini-laptop in my hands.

What's one thing you don't like about the phone?

It takes really long to start up! It's like booting up a computer. I'm talking like two-three minutes. That's my only major problem.

How would you improve your gadget?

I'd improve the booting system for sure and it should come with some sort of cleaning device for the track ball because it's used so often it sticks and won't roll sometimes.

If you had to trade in your BlackBerry for another phone, what would it be?

Ah, an upgraded BlackBerry! I would never change my BlackBerry for any other type of phone. Trust me, once you have one you can't switch to some other 'normal' phone.
