Rhone's heartbreak?

The Editor, Sir:

When I was in sixth-form in the early 1970s, the play, The Harder They Come, was reported as having been written by Trevor Rhone. Our literature teacher invited Rhone as playwright to give a lecture at Immaculate Conception High School. He obliged and we were thrilled to hear about the twists and turns of his training in England and how he had used this training to document the Jamaican reality as a playwright.

But when I watched the DVD of The Harder They Come, and as I listened to the commentary from the financiers and cast of The Harder They Come, I was left with two nagging concerns:

The movie's star and songwriter, Jimmy Cliff, was not even interviewed. How come?

Trevor Rhone, the playwright, got no more than 60 seconds of interview time. How come?

misinformed

Miami's media advertisements in August 2009 list Perry Henzell as the writer of The Harder They Come. The Miami Arsht Centre's website states that the play was written by Perry Henzell and that the film was produced and directed by Perry Henzell and co-written by Trevor Rhone.

Did Trevor Rhone die of a heart attack (or, by my calculations, a broken heart) on Tuesday, September 15?

I am, etc.,
