As it was in Beijing, China, last year, on the eve of his 23rd birthday, the worlds' fastest sprinter returned to a world-class athletic meet and destroyed his competitors with yet another record-breaking historic performance! And so congratulations are in order for the phenomenal Usain Bolt, as we laud him today, August 21, and extend nothing but the very best wishes on this the day of his birth!

Congrats to another Jamaican who is flying the national colours high in the international arena, as Elliot Macmillan, a student at the Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey, one of the most prestigious and highly rated engineering colleges in the United States of America, has made the 2009 dean's list.
The son of advertising guru Robert MacMillan, the affable budding engineer is currently vacationing in Jamaica. And my dears, Carolyn Yapp is definitely one of the hot contestants to watch, going into Sunday night's finals of the Miss Universe contest, being hosted by The Bahamas at the famed Atlantis Resort on the tres chic paradise island.
Daahlings, no word yet as to just how the lovely Carolyn faring with the international bookies, but word out of Nassau is that the Jamaican beauty is definitely one of the hot contestants to watch for Sunday night's finals, and luvs, you know we will be watching. And to shore up Jamaican on the ground support, Pulse's chairman, Kingsley Cooper, is headlining a contingent of Jamaicans leaving the island today.
