Monsignor Gregory Ramkissoon, founder and executive director of Mustard Seed Communities, says thanks to Thyra Heaven (back row, second left) chairperson of the organising committee of the annual Powerful Women and Men Perform for Charity Show, and members of the organising team, for a cheque of $4.1 million on Thursday, August 13. The amount represents proceeds from the show. The presentation took place at the head office of the Mustard Seed Communities, 1 Mahoe Drive, St Andrew. Back row (at left) is Carmen Patterson. The money is to be used to assist with the rebuilding of Martha's House, North Street, which was destroyed by fire. James Hussey, chief executive officer of De La Rue, was fêted at a reception on Wednesday during a visit to the island. The aim of the visit was to recognise the important partnership with the Bank of Jamaica, Inland Revenue Department, and to highlight the core competencies of De La Rue for an important market such as Jamaica and to outline James's vision for De La Rue.

With a partnership stretching over 40 years, De La Rue has supplied Jamaica with a number of security products over the years, including bonds, currency, identity documents and postage stamps.
