Jamaica keep out five
BERLIN (AP):
The Jamaican team has decided to keep five Jamaican relay athletes involved in a doping case out of the World Championships as a precautionary measure.
The IAAF said on Tuesday it had no power to bar the five from competing after they had been provisionally cleared of doping allegations.
A Jamaican appeals ruling is expected after the World Cham-pionships, which ends Sunday.
IAAF spokesman Nick Davies said: "The news I have is that they won't be running. We know now that the Jamaicans will not enter these athletes."
The runners have been identified as Yohan Blake, Sheri-Ann Brooks, Allodin Fothergill, Lansford Spence and Marvin Anderson.
