Pulse's annual Caribbean Model Search (CMS) live show is expected to take on an added dimension this year, as, for the first time in the Caribbean, the event will feature a 'CMS Full Figure Female Model Parade'.
From the pages of French Vogue to the centerfolds in the Pirelli calendar, the international fashion industry has diversified to include full-figured or plus-sized models. Pulse says it has taken note and has expanded its annual search for new talent.
The voluptuous femme fatales will take fashion centre stage on the show on September 6. Pulse says applications are still open for women between the ages 18 and 35 who are full-figured, vibrant, fashionable and personable to audition for the competition next Wednesday.
Come prepared
Interested ladies are asked to come prepared with fitted jeans, tank tops and high heels at 4 p.m. at the Pulse complex, 38A Trafalgar Road.
Finalists will be judged on look, stage presence, personality and poise and will appear on the grand runway showcase at CMS LIVE.
In addition to the new category, Pulse is also recruiting dynamic young talent to compete for the traditional Jamaica Fashion Model, Male Face of Jamaica and Petite Jamaica Fashion Model titles.
The 26-year-old CMS event has been credited with jump-starting the careers of some of the world's best talent including 2002 winner Jaunel McKenzie. Other CMS stars include Nell Robinson, Oraine Barrett, Gaye McDonald, Jeneil Williams, among others.
