Lady B's funeral procession to restrict vehicular traffic

Members of the public will be admitted for limited seating starting 11:30 a.m. at Sts Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Old Hope Road, for the funeral of Lady Bustamante on Saturday.
The musical tributes will get on its way at noon, while the funeral begins at 1 p.m.
Parking for the public will be on Hopefield Avenue on the grounds of Campion High School or the Deep Dean premises.
The movement of motorists and their ability to park on certain streets will be restricted from noon to facilitate the church service and interment of lady B.
Procession route
Following the service, the body of Lady B will take a defined route to the National Heroes Circle. The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) will escort the procession, which will travel Old Hope Road east to Stanton Terrace, south to Herb McKenley Boulevard ( Roosevelt Avenue) and west to Arthur Wint Drive .
Medical staff of the Bustamante Hospital for Children will line the route approaching the hospital.
The procession will then go south to Tom Redcam Avenue, west to Caledonia Avenue and south to Marescaux Road. Members of the JCF and other uniformed groups including cadets, boys scouts and girl guides will line the route approaching the National Heroes Park.
As the procession comes down Marescaux, it will go down the eastern side of National Heroes Circle before finally turning to South National Heroes Circle for interment at National Heroes Park.
The funeral and the interment will be broadcast live on CVM, TVJ and PBCJ television stations and on Radio Jamaica 94 FM and Hot 102 FM.
Other events
Promoters of dances and parties and also sporting events such as horse racing and other activities that are flamboyant and noisy in nature can observe the national day of mourning by holding a moment of silence at the start of the event. The moment of silence should be preceded and ended with an announcer making an appropriate statement. Radio and television stations should air programmes to enhance the solemnity of the day of national mourning.
