Colourful spectacle.

When you talk about independence celebrations, Colombia's is as big as they come.

With the country celebrating 199 years of freedom from Spain, Colombian ambassador to Jamaica, Ventura Emilio Diaz Mejia, was keen to do it in style. And that he did with a colourful presentation of music and dance from his native land at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel last Monday. The fine wine, food and cultural presentation (performed by both Colombian and Jamaican dancers) were fitting to celebrate a remarkable milestone.
