Harbour View goalkeeper, Dwayne Miller, could capitalise on the misfortune of his teammate as he was drafted into the Reggae Boyz squad yesterday to replace the injured Donovan Ricketts.

Miller will now compete with Portmore's Shawn Sawyers for the starting spot in the friendly international against Nigeria in London next week.

The match, set for next Wednes-day, will take place at The New Den stadium in London, home of championship side Millwall.

Ricketts is the second member of the squad to pull out because of injury. Newcomer to the team, Darren Pratley, will have to wait a little longer to make his debut in the black, green and gold, as he suffered a broken collarbone in a recent match with his club Swansea City. These absences have reduced the squad to 19 players.

Tyrone Mears will be hoping to make his debut for the country as he joins the team for his first call-up. The pacy wingback will be looking to step on to the field against Taye Taiwo, his Nigerian teammate at Olympique Marseille in France.

Luton Shelton will be on display following his loan move last week from Valerenga in Norway to Aalborg in Denmark for the next few months.

Loan move

Fellow striker Marlon King will also be in the team, following his loan move from Hull City to Middlesbrough in the English Premiership.

Midfielder Demar Phillips will be looking to use the opportunity of turning out for the national team as a way to gear up for the season, after joining a new team in the transfer window, moving from Stoke City to Aalesunds FK in Norway.
