Roots Ginger. Roots Sorrel and Roots Malta - Photos by Barbara Ellington
Just in time for Christmas, Roots Tonics has rolled out its new line of non-alcoholic beverages. Roots Ginger, Roots Malta and Roots Sorrel, enriched with ginseng and Vitamin C, hit supermarkets this week. These tonics boast that they increase physical and mental endurance, boot energy, reduce cholesterol and fight fatigue.
While ginger is a great chaser with rum/vodka and lime juice, Roots Malta can be combined with Supligen and peanut Irish Moss.
Comments
We put the new flavours to the taste and we did not care very much for the Roots Malta or Roots Sorrel, but the Ginger was a hit. Some of the comments are as follows:
I love the strong ginger taste combined with the aroma of roots used. I am amazed that the combination of roots has been so effectively captured, and I will definitely be adding this one to my grocery list.
It tastes like ginger beer with a roots flavour, but it's too sweet .
Not the greatest after-taste, but then it's ginger. Didn't find it that bad and if really chilled, goes down very well.
I could see myself having it with patties or something. It's quite good overall.
Yes man, this one good, good.
When served ice cold, it is very refreshing, I really love it.
