Baileys celebrates 34th birthday
published: Thursday | November 20, 2008

This year marks the 34th birthday of Baileys Original Irish Cream, the world's number one premium liqueur. Made with pure chocolate, vanilla, Irish whiskey and cream, Baileys has carved out a significant following here in Jamaica.

And today, Baileys will celebrate it's birthday in fine style with a roving spa at Mega Mart, Waterloo Road in Kingston. All lovers of the drink can be a part of this special event between noon and 8 p.m. Celebrity guests including former Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps and Olympian Asafa Powell have been invited to participate in the grand affair.

With the purchase of a bottle of Baileys 750ml, consumers will receive a 25 per cent Bailey gift card that entitles them to enjoy special discounts at participating spas and boutique such as Adam and Eve Day Spa, The Face Place, Jencare Skin Farm, Options Cosmetics Limited and Kerry's ManWomanHome.

Consumers will also have the opportunity to be pampered in the Baileys Roving Boutique with massages by celebrities as well as trained masseuses while enjoying the drink.

According to Dave DaCosta, marketing manager for Baileys, the promotion has been specially designed to treat consumers who have been supportive over the years.

Success

"Baileys takes this opportunity to celebrate its birthday with all the consumers who have made it a household name here in Jamaica. We are pleased with the success of the brand and invite all to come out and celebrate with us," DaCosta said.

Consumers can continue to enjoy the Baileys Roving Boutique which is scheduled to visit Loshusan Supermarket, Barbican, St Andrew on November 29; Mega Mart Waterloo Road on December 6 and the Montego Bay branch on December 13 and 20.
