Jamaica Gleaner Letters
published: Sunday | November 2, 2008

Influence of gangster lyrics
The Editor, Sir: I refer to an article in The Gleaner of October 30, with reference to 'Lyrics, the cause of some violence', and I refer to some of the lyrics published in the features on crime inside the publication.

As Jamaicans we need to unite

The Editor, Sir: The most important aspect in solving crime in Jamaica is to first identify that it requires collective effort. The minister of national security, the police commissioner and the chief of defence staff by themselves cannot solve crime in Jamaica.
