Gloria's: seafood at its best
published: Thursday | October 23, 2008

During Kingston Restaurant Week, try the curried shrimp at Gloria's in Port Royal. - Keisha Shakespeare-Blackmore

One of the most popular and best eating spots in Port Royal is Gloria's Rendezvous. Specialising in seafood, Gloria has established its name as a top restaurant, known for its good food and atmosphere and has been a favourite for many. The drive, which is minutes away from the Norman Manley International airport, is certainly not a deterrent for seafood lovers.

This year will be the first time the seafood restaurant will be participating, and manager of the establishment, Tanya Prawl, hopes to benefit tremendously. "We decided to come on board for greater exposure and possibly get new customers too".

Seafood lovers will have a grand feast with the dishes being offered during that week. "For appetiser, persons can have like lobster salad, conch fritters with a tossed salad or conch soup. We are also going to have garlic buttered lobster, shrimp in curry sauce and steamed fish."

With all that enticing food, it sounds like quite a treat especially in the ambience that Prawl boasts about. "We have good food here and good ambience, which will add to the total experience". Customers can decide to dine outdoors or indoors, as both locations in Port Royal will be participating.
