LETTER OF THE DAY - Not one-dimensional achievers
The Editor, Sir: Jamaicans at home and abroad are feeling proud of our athletes in Beijing and feeling proud to be Jamaicans at this time. I, too, am basking in the glory and proud to be Jamaican, but this is not a new feeling for me.

The soft side of bigotry

The Editor, Sir: United we stand in our support of Usain Bolt's achievements. We should make no apologies or even provide a response to those who criticise Bolt's celebratory behaviour.

The PM misspoke ... somewhat

The Editor, Sir: Mr Golding's reference regarding the Government's considerations for the future welfare of Jamaica's athletes is deserving of support. However, as prime minister, he should be more selective with his choice of language...
